Basic Cooked Grains

1 cup grains (millet, quinoa, or kasha)

2 cups water

Bring water to a boil, add grain, reduce heat to low and cook until done. Quinoa and kasha is done in about 20 minutes, while millet takes about 30 minutes. Let stand off the heat for about 10 minutes before serving. Optional: add dried mushroom or a seasoning blend.
